The CAPABLE mission in southeastern Virginia occurred during the Summer and Fall of 2009. Its objective is to aid in the validation of new remote-sensing technologies including PANDORA, as well as developing scientific understanding of surface pollution processes. The Gator team launched ozonesondes to provide profiles of ozone and meteorological variables, and NATIVE supplied continuous surface measurements of trace gases, including nitrogen dioxide and ozone.
